Trouble

There by the bay,

Saw the ocean pouncing -
I would stay.

Late in the bed,

Skin grew pulpy

Wet instead.

Frothing untold,

Uncouth water

Took me to cold.

'Dry by the sun',

I kept stuttering,

'If the tides turn.'
